EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT

Jay Bray CEOJay Bray
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Jay Bray serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mr. Cooper Group. Jay has also served in various leadership roles at Nationstar since joining the company in 2000.

Jay has more than 25 years of experience in the mortgage servicing and originations industry. From 1988 to 1994, he worked with Arthur Andersen in Atlanta, Georgia, where he served as an audit manager from 1992 to 1994. From 1994 to 2000, Jay held a variety of leadership roles at Bank of America and predecessor entities, where he managed the asset backed securitization process for mortgage-related products, developed and implemented a secondary execution strategy and profitability plan and managed investment banking relationships, secondary marketing operations and investor relations. Additionally, Jay led the portfolio acquisition, pricing and modeling group at Bank of America.

He holds a B.A.A. in Accounting from Auburn University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Georgia.

Christopher Marshall 
Vice Chairman, President & Chief Financial Officer

Christopher Marshall serves as Vice Chairman, President and Chief Financial Officer of Mr. Cooper Group. Chris joined Mr. Cooper in January 2019 from Tax Guard Inc. where he served as Executive Chairman. Previously he was with Capital Bank Financial Corp. where he served as co-founder and CFO since 2009. Through his leadership, Capital Bank grew from a start-up business to $10 billion in assets and was sold for $2.2 billion. Chris also successfully led the company through its IPO as well as the acquisition and integration of eight community banks.

Previously, Chris served as Chief Restructuring Officer and Senior Advisor to the CEO at GMAC, Inc., now Ally Financial, Inc. He also served as an advisor to The Blackstone Group L.P. providing advice and analysis for potential investments in the banking sector. From 2006 through 2008, Chris served as CFO at Fifth Third Bancorp. Prior to that, Chris served in various senior leadership roles at Bank of America Corporation, Honeywell International Inc., AlliedSignal Technical Services Corporation and TRW, Inc.

Chris holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Florida and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University.

Eldridge Burns
Executive Vice President & Chief Legal Officer

Eldridge Burns serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Mr. Cooper Group. Eldridge joined the company in August 2020 and is an accomplished attorney known for his steady leadership and expertise. Eldridge has more than 25 years in the legal field and extensive experience in financial services, regulatory compliance, capital markets as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Eldridge most recently served as General Counsel at Top Golf where he oversaw all legal matters for the company. Prior to joining Topgolf in 2016, Eldridge was with Santander Consumer USA Inc., where he served for 10 years as the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel. Prior to that time, he spent nine years as Vice President and Senior Corporate Counsel at Blockbuster. Eldridge began his legal career as an associate at Vinson & Elkins Law Firm.

Eldridge holds B.A. from Southern Methodist University and earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Texas.

Kelly Ann Doherty
EVP and Chief Administrative Officer

Kelly Ann serves as EVP and Chief Administrative Officer for Mr. Cooper Group overseeing all facets of human resources, brand, corporate communications, customer relations, diversity and inclusion, employee events and programs, facilities, procurement and security.  As a strategic leader in the organization, she leads the company’s culture initiatives to create an encouraging and empowering work environment and partners closely with core business leaders to ensure we take a customer-first approach.

Kelly Ann is seasoned in navigating the landscape of the financial services industry.  She joined the company in 2016 as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications where she led the corporate internal and external repositioning as the company rebranded from Nationstar to Mr. Cooper, while simultaneously managing the company’s public affairs narrative, employee communications and the merger with WMIH. Through varying leadership roles in the financial services sector, Kelly Ann has served as a crisis spokesperson, public affairs expert, communications innovator and executive counselor. 

Previously, she served as Vice President of Corporate Communications at Elevate, a financial technology firm. She also served as a public relations and affairs consultant for four years and as a strategic communication staffer for a Presidential campaign and within President George W. Bush’s administration with a tour at the White House in Presidential Personnel and N.A.S.A. as a political appointee.

Kelly Ann holds a B.A. from George Washington University in International Media and Communications. 

Angela Greenfeather
EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer

Angela Greenfeather serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Mr. Cooper Group where she oversees all facets of human resources including employee relations, HR business partners, talent acquisition, learning and talent development, total rewards, people operations and analytics. Angela joined the company in May 2015 most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Enterprise HR. Angela’s career spans more than 20 years, including senior leadership roles at Travelocity and Sabre Corporation. During her time at Sabre, Angela served in many HR roles including talent acquisition, learning and development, compensation and HR business partners. During her time at Travelocity, Angela was responsible for driving a people strategy that galvanized a highly-engaged team member experience in the U.S., Argentina, India and Poland. Angela is a strategic leader and works to elevate and strengthen the relationships between HR and the business by being a bold advocate of the company’s culture and people.

Angela received her HR management education from Southern Methodist University and graduated from the CHRO program at Cornell University. She holds multiple certifications in executive coaching, leadership assessments, and HR and talent management.

Kurt Johnson
EVP and Chief Risk & Compliance Officer

Kurt Johnson serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, responsible for setting all credit risk related policy and governance and leading the risk and compliance organization. With over 20 years of experience in the mortgage-banking industry, he joined the company in 2015. Prior to coming aboard, Johnson spent six years as Executive Vice President at OneWest Bank. Earlier in his career, he helped develop a streamline modification program that served as the template for Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP).

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Occidental College and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Cornell University.

Jay Jones
Executive Vice President, Servicing

Jay Jones serves as Executive Vice President of Servicing for Mr. Cooper Group, overseeing the Mr. Cooper mortgage servicing organization. Prior to this role, he held various key leadership roles in other organizations, strategically guiding mortgage servicers through the ever-changing industry landscape. He served as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for Celink and as Executive Vice President at CIT Bank, where he led the Residential Servicing Operations Division. Jay has more than 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry with responsibilities ranging across a variety of functions including leading and managing capital marketing, analytics, credit management, servicing and special servicing.

 Jay holds a B.S. in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge.

 

Neenu Kainth
Chief Digital Officer

Neenu Kainth serves as Chief Digital Officer for Mr. Cooper Group and is responsible for the development of the company’s customer experience roadmap as well as product and digital offerings including the customer-facing voice, website and mobile applications.

Neenu joined the company in 2015 and previously served as Senior Vice President, Digital Product Management. Prior to that, Neenu held senior roles at Verizon and Comcast where she was responsible for the growth of digital products including product management, technology development, pricing, revenue, and cost management.

Neenu holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Computer Science from Arizona State University and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania.

Leonard McLaughlin
Chief Diversity Officer

Leonard McLaughlin serves as the Chief Diversity Officer for Mr. Cooper Group and is responsible for leading the company’s ongoing efforts to attract, retain and grow diverse talent and drive diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) strategies that align with the goals of the company.

With a proven track record in creating innovative solutions to embed diversity into corporate strategies, he joined the company in 2021. Prior to coming aboard, Leonard held senior roles at Gallagher, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and Aon Corporation, having spent most of his career in the financial services industry. Leonard has led strategic initiatives to attract, retain and promote diverse talent and foster an equitable workplace, having launched multiple first-of-their-kind DEI initiatives at several of his former organizations. At Gallagher, Leonard created the first global DEI strategy and led a global ‘Courageous Conversations’ discussion series where employees could engage in open-minded and vulnerable conversations on sensitive topics. At Aon Corporation, Leonard was the president of an initiative, which was the first Fortune 500 professional services firm to offer clients access to a private network of minority and women-owned business enterprises. Leonard grew this initiative from a start-up to an entire division that built a pipeline of partnerships with strong minority businesses.

Leonard holds a B.A. in Finance from the University of Iowa.

Glenn Onstad
Chief Audit Executive

Glenn Onstad serves as Chief Audit Executive for Mr. Cooper Group. He joined Nationstar in 2016 in the same role, bringing nearly 30 years of internal audit, risk and finance experience, with emphasis in the mortgage industry since 2004.

Glenn previously served in various internal audit leadership positions, including Chief Audit Executive for Ocwen Financial Corporation, Senior Audit Director for Capital One Financial Services, and SVP, Governance, Risk and Control for Bank of America Home Loans. Before entering the mortgage and financial services industry in 2004, Glenn served in internal audit and financial leadership roles in the consumer products, regulated electric utility, telecommunication and public accounting industries dating back to 1989.

Glenn earned both M.B.A. and B.B.A. degrees from University of Texas, Arlington, and holds CPA, CIA, CISA, and CMA credentials.

Michael Rawls
Executive Vice President & Chief Executive Officer, Xome

Mike Rawls serves as Executive Vice President & Chief Executive Officer of Xome. Prior to joining Xome in 2020, Mike served as the Executive Vice President of Servicing for Mr. Cooper Group, where he held operational responsibility for the company’s entire servicing portfolio. Since joining the company in 2000, Mike has served in several leadership positions including as President of Champion Mortgage and senior roles in the company’s originations channels.

Previously, Mike held leadership roles at Banc One Financial Services from 1997 to 1999 and at Household Financial Services from 1991 to 1997.

Mike received a B.A. in Business Management from Virginia Wesleyan College.

Sridhar Sharma
Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer

Sridhar Sharma is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Mr. Cooper Group, where he is responsible for applications and technology operations. Sridhar joined Nationstar in 2015 in the same role.

Sridhar has nearly 20 years of experience leading technology and product engineering functions. He previously served as the Chief Technology Officer for Ugam Solutions in Dallas. Before that, he was the Chief Evangelist and Architect for the Products and Platforms group at Infosys.

Sridhar earned a B.S. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of Mysore, India, and a M.B.A. degree from Cornell University in New York.

Shawn Stone
EVP & Chief Revenue Officer

Shawn Stone serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer for Mr. Cooper Group, leading the company’s overall growth strategy in addition to the Originations business. Shawn joined Mr. Cooper in July 2021 after serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Board member of Renovate America. Previously, he was Chief Executive Officer and executive founder of Global Mortgage Capital where he started a nationwide independent mortgage banking business that included multiple mortgage originations, servicing and financing companies. Prior to that, Shawn was an executive leader at Mr. Cooper, then Nationstar Mortgage, where he worked for more than 18 years serving in leadership roles in originations, servicing, capital markets, finance and as the executive founder and President of Xome.

 Shawn holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Rhode Island and a master’s degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Busy Burr
Busy Burr has been President & Chief Commercial Officer of Carrot, Inc., a digital health startup company since November 2019. Prior to which Ms. Burr was at Humana, Inc., a for-profit health insurance company, from March 2015 to September 2018, where she served as the Chief Innovation Officer and Vice President of Healthcare Trend. Prior to that, she was Managing Director of Citi Ventures, and Global Head of Business Incubation of Citigroup, Inc. from January 2011 to January 2015. Busy also served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at eBay, Inc. from January 2010 to January 2011. Prior to joining eBay, she co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Lucy & Lily (Alterdot) from March 2004 to June 2009. Busy has held various senior-leadership roles at Credit Suisse Group AG (formerly Credit Suisse First Boston), Homestead Technologies Inc. and Gap Inc., and was an investment banker for Morgan Stanley. She has served on the Board of Directors of Satellite Healthcare Inc., a not-for-profit provider of kidney dialysis and related services, since December 2018, and has previously served as a board observer for three healthcare companies, Omada Health, Inc. Aspire Health, Inc. and Livongo Health, Inc. Busy holds a A.B. in Economics from Smith College and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.

 

Roy Guthrie
Roy Guthrie has been the chairman of the Executive Committee of Renovate America, Inc. (a privately-held corporation), which provides an energy efficiency and renewable energy home improvement financing platform, since September 2018; he previously served as Chief Executive Officer from October 2017 to September 2018. Roy was Executive Vice President of Discover Financial Services, a direct banking and payment services company, from 2005 to 2012; he previously served as Chief Financial Officer from 2005 to 2011 and as Treasurer from 2009 to 2010. Roy was President & Chief Executive Officer of CitiFinancial International, LTD, a consumer finance business of Citigroup Inc., from 2000 to 2004, serving on Citigroup’s Management Committee throughout this period. Roy was also Chief Financial Officer of Associates First Capital Corporation from 1996 to 2000, while it was a public company, and he served as a member of its board of directors from 1998 to 2000. Roy also serves on the board of directors of OneMain Holdings, Inc. and Synchrony Financial. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Hanover College and an M.B.A. from Drake University.

 

Mike Malone
Mike Malone serves on the board of directors of Walker & Dunlop, Inc. and New Senior Investment Group. From February 2008 until February 2012, he served as a Managing Director of Fortress Investment Group LLC, a global investment management group, where he was in charge of the Charlotte, North Carolina office and responsible for the business of the capital formation group in the southeast and southwest regions of the United States. Mike retired from Bank of America in November 2007, after nearly 24 years of service as Senior Executive Banker and Managing Director. Over those years Mike worked in and ran a number of investment banking businesses for the bank and its subsidiary, Banc of America Securities LLC, including real estate, gaming, lodging, leisure and the financial sponsors businesses. Mike holds a B.S. from the University of Kentucky.


Shveta Mujumdar
Shveta Mujumdar currently serves as Vice President, Corporate Development for Intuit, a leading business and financial software company. Prior to that, she served as Vice President, Corporate Development for Lynda.com, an online learning platform, up until and through the sale to LinkedIn for $1.5 billion. Additionally, Shveta has held various strategy, corporate development and financial advisory roles at QuinStreet, Live Nation/Ticketmaster, Goldman Sachs and Deloitte. She holds a B.A. and M.A. in economics from the University of Southern California and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business.

 

Tagar Olson
Tagar Olson most recently was a Member of KKR. He joined KKR in 2002 and prior to his departure in December 2019, served as Head of KKR’s financial services and hospitality and leisure industry teams. He served as a member of the Investment Committee and Portfolio Management Committees within the KKR America’s Private Equity platform and also served as a member of KKR’s Global Investment, Markets and Distribution Committee. Tagar played a significant role in many of KKR’s other investments in the financial services sector. Tagar currently serves on the boards of directors of a number of privately-held companies. He is also a member of the Board of Overseers at NYU Langmore Medical Center.  Prior to joining KKR, Tagar was with Evercore Partners Inc.  He holds a B.S. and B.A.S., summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Steve Scheiwe
Steve Scheiwe is President of Ontrac Advisors, Inc., which offers analysis and management services to private equity groups, privately held companies and funds managing distressed corporate debt issues. Steve has served on the board of directors of Alimco Financial Corporation, Hancock Fabrics, Inc., Verso Corporation., Primus Telecommunications Group, Inc., and Mississippi Phosphates Corporation. He holds a B.A. from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and a J.D. with honors from the Washburn University School of Law.
